In Home Care – Government funded program

Do you find that mainstream child care does not suit your needs? Do you need an extra set of hands to meet your daily demands? Little League can help you find the right Educator / Carer to look after your children at home.

In Home Care is a flexible alternative for those families who are not able to access mainstream child care services.

As a government approved service Little League In Home Care can provide you with access to in home child care funding, provided you meet the criteria set out under "Government Funding".

In a situation of ongoing care we provide you with the choice to interview potential educators or simply to bring your own carer/ educator to the scheme.

All our educators have experience with children, are reference checked, hold current Working With Children Check, a first aid certificate and are monitored while at work.

Our educators are involved in training to help them bring fresh ideas to your home.

What is an In Home Carer’s role?

An in home carer, or educator is responsible to meet your children’s daily needs and additionally engage the children in developmentally appropriate activities. This includes ensuring emotional and physical safety of the children and provision of educational activities using the resources available in your home.  The in home carer will complete meal preparation and tidying of activities and areas used in the course of care or as necessary to maintain child wellbeing.   Other child related domestic tasks are kept to a minimum and general household tasks are not included in the service.
